Pixar, in my
opinion, is one of the best companies producing CGI (Computer Generated Images)
films. “Brave,” released June 22, 2012 is definitely another wonderfully made
film. It has followed great films by Pixar such as “Toy Story 1,” “Toy Story 2,”
and “Toy Story 3.” Pixar also created “Finding Nemo,” “The Incredibles” and
“Up.” It’s a great choice for the whole family! The storyline placed in
Scotland. It’s a wonderful tale about an overbearing mother (Elenor) and
oppressed daughter (Merida) whose love in the end overcomes all. Merida refuses
to follow custom to marry a suitor to keep peace through out the land.
Through the conflict of Merida turning her mother into a bear while
trying to change her fate, Elenor and Merida find a common ground to stand together.
The two, along with some other characters, truly make a wonderful story full of
laughs and giggles. The triplets Harris, Hubert, and
Hamish, always tend to bring out the child inside us all. Their
antics and love for mischief make them one of the highlights of the film. The
boys were definitely my favorite part of the entire movie. Although they aren’t
the main characters they are in my opinion the best. I highly recommend this
movie to anyone ready for a good laugh. If you care to know more about Brave
